Overview

Adafruit PCT2075 Temperature Sensor is an I2C temperature sensing breakout built around the NXP PCT2075, designed as a code-compatible, pin-compatible drop-in replacement for the popular LM75.

Compared with the LM75, the PCT2075 offers an 11-bit ADC for more precise temperature readings, and its tri-state address pins allow up to 27 sensors on a single I2C bus. That makes it a practical choice for distributed temperature monitoring, multi-sensor data logging, and embedded control projects.

The board also supports a configurable high-temperature threshold and alert output, so it can do more than just report temperature. With built-in STEMMA QT / Qwiic compatible connectors, it is easy to plug into Arduino, Feather, Raspberry Pi, and other compatible microcontrollers or Blinka-supported single-board computers. QT cable is not included.

Why choose the PCT2075?

If you already use LM75-style sensors, the PCT2075 is an easy upgrade path. It keeps the familiar I2C workflow while improving measurement precision and greatly expanding the number of address combinations available on the same bus.

This makes it well suited for environmental monitoring, thermal protection, enclosures, 3D printer projects, battery packs, and any application where you want a simple digital temperature sensor with an onboard alert feature.
