Overview
The Cytron MD25HV is a high-voltage, single-channel bidirectional motor driver designed for one brushed DC motor. It operates from 7V to 58V DC and supports up to 25A continuous motor current with 60A peak, making it suitable for demanding robotics, automation, and mobility applications.
This driver uses a discrete NMOS H-Bridge design with a fixed 16kHz output frequency, and accepts PWM input frequencies up to 40kHz. It supports PWM and DIR control, and also offers a direct potentiometer and switch control mode for standalone speed and direction control without the need for programming.
The MD25HV also integrates a 5V buck regulator output for powering a host controller up to 250mA, along with onboard test buttons, motor output LEDs, and built-in protection features including overcurrent protection with active current limiting, temperature protection, and undervoltage shutdown. Please note that the power input does not include reverse-polarity protection.
