Overview
Cytron MDD3A is a compact dual channel DC motor driver designed for robots, automation builds, and embedded motion projects. It can drive two brushed DC motors or one bipolar/unipolar stepper motor from a 4V to 16V DC supply using a discrete MOSFET H-bridge design.
Each channel supports up to 3A continuous current and 5A peak for short bursts, making it suitable for small mobile robots, school projects, and general maker applications. The driver accepts PWM input up to 20kHz, with output frequency following the input frequency for straightforward speed control.
The board is easy to integrate with modern controllers thanks to its 1.8V to 12V logic-compatible inputs, covering Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PLC interfaces. It also includes a built-in 5V output up to 200mA, onboard test buttons, motor status LEDs, and reverse polarity protection for safer and faster development.
