Overview

The Cytron HAT-MDD10 is a dual-channel brushed DC motor driver HAT designed for Raspberry Pi projects that need reliable high-current motor control in a compact add-on format. It can drive two bi-directional DC motors with a motor supply range of 6VDC to 24VDC.

Each channel supports up to 10A continuous current without a heatsink at 25℃, with 30A peak current for 10 seconds. The board uses a fully NMOS H-Bridge for improved efficiency, supports signed-magnitude PWM speed and direction control, and accepts PWM frequencies up to 20kHz.

Built for practical robotics and automation use, the HAT-MDD10 includes current limiting, automatic overcurrent cut-off at 30A peak, regenerative braking, LED indicators on each channel output, and an onboard test button for manual motor control. It is intended for brushed DC motors only.
