Adafruit SCD-41 is a photoacoustic true CO2 sensor designed to measure ambient carbon dioxide directly in PPM, rather than estimating it from VOC readings. It also integrates temperature and humidity sensing, making it a practical all-in-one option for environmental monitoring projects.
Compared with the larger SCD-30, the SCD-41 uses a different measurement technique that allows a much smaller sensor element while maintaining similar overall data quality. With its 400 ppm to 5000 ppm measurement range, the SCD-41 is especially well suited for industrial, lab, scientific, and high-range CO2 measurement applications.
The breakout comes on a custom PCB with STEMMA QT connectors on both sides, compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C ecosystems for fast, solderless integration. It works over I2C with a wide range of microcontrollers and microcomputers, and support is available for Arduino, Python, and CircuitPython.

This breakout is designed for easy I2C wiring and flexible power integration. It includes an onboard 3.3V regulator and level shifting for compatibility with both 3.3V and 5V systems.
Important: this sensor prefers a quiet, low-ripple power supply. Voltage is flexible, but clean power is especially important for stable operation.
