Overview
Mini GSM/Cellular Quad-Band Antenna - 2dBi SMA Plug is a slim external antenna designed for cellular and GSM/GPRS hardware that supports the 850/900/1800/1900/2100MHz bands. With 2dBi gain and 50Ω impedance, it is a practical choice for development boards, prototypes, and embedded wireless builds that need an external SMA antenna.
The antenna uses an SMA male connector, a common interface on many cellular development boards. It is well suited for quad-band GSM hardware and is highlighted as a compatible external antenna option for setups such as Adafruit FONA MiniGSM and SIM800-based projects that support an external antenna connection.
Important: if your board uses RP-SMA, you will need an adapter. If your module uses u.FL, a u.FL to SMA adapter cable is required. Also note that cellular modules like FONA need a host microcontroller over UART and do not operate as standalone devices.
